- Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice (BCMP)
- Bachelor of Education (BEd)
- Bachelor of Oral Health Sciences (BOHS)
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Audiology
- Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology
- Bachelor of Social Science (BSocSc)
- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
- Undergraduate LLB
These are only a few examples, and there are many more. The only fields you cannot go into with Maths Literacy are Accounting, Engineering, IT, Chemistry, and Medicine.

ICB Financial Accounting
ICB courses are designed and accredited by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB). Their courses are also accredited by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). This means that they are recognised as formal qualifications in South Africa.
ICB courses go up to the Diploma level, and are recognised internationally. The ICB Financial Accounting programme only requires you to have Grade 10 or equivalent to apply.

Can You Become A Doctor With Maths Literacy?
No, you cannot become a Doctor with Maths Literacy. All universities require you to have Maths with a high pass mark, usually 75% or higher, to qualify to study Medicine. Note that most universities accept this mark, but some may differ.
Can I Study Social Work With Maths Literacy?
Yes, you can study Social Work with Maths Literacy. Most universities will accept Maths Literacy with a pass mark of 50% or higher for a Bachelor of Social Work. However, while most universities require this mark, not all universities require the same mark.
Can I Be A Nurse With Maths Literacy?
Yes, you can study to be a Nurse with Maths Literacy. Many universities will require you to have a pass mark of 60% or higher for Maths Literacy to qualify for a Bachelor of Nursing Science. Check with the university you are applying to for the pass requirement.
Can I Become A Lawyer With Maths Literacy?
Yes, you can study to become a Lawyer with Maths Literacy. Each university will have its own pass requirement for Maths Literacy to qualify to study for an Undergraduate Law Degree (LLB). Some universities and their requirements for Maths Literacy to apply for an LLB are:
- University of Johannesburg (UJ) requires a minimum of 50% in Maths Literacy for LLB admission.
- University of Kwazulu-Natal (UKZN) requires a minimum of 60% in Maths Literacy for LLB admission.
- North-West University (NWU) requires a minimum of 60% in Maths Literacy for their extended LLB programme.
- University of Witwatersrand (WITS) requires a minimum of 70% in Maths Literacy for LLB admission.
- University of the Western Cape (UWC) requires a minimum of 60% in Maths Literacy for LLB admission.
Note that the required mark for this Degree varies widely between universities. Be sure to check with the university you are applying to about their specific requirements.
