Calculating your APS Score
“What is my APS?” is a question that most Matric pupils and first time students want to know the answer to when applying to study at a university.
APS stands for Admission Point Score. In South Africa, universities use APS points as one of the tools to see if applicants qualify for their respective programmes. This is a unique APS calculator that you can use to work out your score.
To calculate your APS, you’ll need to add your six best subjects, excluding Life Orientation. The points you get for each course will depend on the percentage you score in that particular subject. The APS score is the total points you receive from each course.
