There are many Degree programmes you can study with Maths Literacy, but you can narrow down your search by looking at the degrees that also require Life Sciences. 

What Courses Can I Study With Maths Literacy And Life Sciences?

The following courses are examples of courses that require Life Sciences and accept Maths Literacy. 

Note that this is not a complete list, and each designation (e.g. Bachelor of Arts, or Bachelor of Science) has many fields of study (e.g. Bachelor of Arts in Psychology or Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry) and each field of study may have its own requirements.

Can I Become A Doctor With Maths Literacy And Life Science?

No, you cannot become a doctor with Maths Literacy and Life Science. All universities require you to have Maths to study medicine, and most require a minimum of 75% – 80% in Maths. 

Life Science is also required for Medicine, usually with a pass requirement of 70% or above. However, you must also have Maths. If you took Life Sciences with Maths Literacy, you will not be able to study Medicine. 

Can I Be A Nurse With Maths Literacy?

Yes, you can study to be a nurse with Maths Literacy. Many universities will accept Maths Literacy for a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing if your final mark was above 50%. 

Can I Do Law With Maths Literacy?

Yes, you can study Law with Maths Literacy, though the requirement is higher than other Degrees. To study Law with Maths Literacy, most universities will require you to have passed with above 60% in Maths Literacy. 

Can I Become A Social Worker With Maths Literacy?

Yes, you can study a Bachelor of Social Work with Maths Literacy. Many universities do accept Maths Literacy for this Degree. 

Can You Become A Teacher With Maths Literacy?

Yes, you can study to become a teacher with Maths Literacy, as long as you meet other requirements. Teaching Degrees usually require you to have passed both of your Languages, and will have a specific Maths Literacy pass requirement. 

Check with the university you are applying to about whether the course you want to study accepts Maths Literacy.
